Medicated baths at University Vet are used to support dogs and cats with flea and tick concerns by applying clinically appropriate cleansing and supportive products directly to the coat and skin. This service is performed in our veterinary clinic under team supervision, ensuring the correct application and contact time. Medicated baths are appropriate for dogs and cats and are often combined with preventive product recommendations to reduce the risk of reinfestation. Our Point Grey team can assess your pet's skin condition and determine whether a medicated bath is appropriate during a standard visit.
Sedated shaves at University Vet are performed for dogs and cats that cannot safely tolerate standard coat management procedures while conscious. This service is most appropriate for pets with extensive matting, severe anxiety during grooming, or underlying skin conditions that require clear access for assessment. Our veterinary team administers light sedation and performs the shave in a calm, controlled environment. The coat is assessed before the procedure to determine the appropriate shave plan. Specific style preferences are noted where clinically appropriate. This service is available for dogs and cats at our Point Grey clinic.
